Information we collect

• Booking details: your name, email address, phone number, country, address, stay dates, number of adults, children and infants, and any requests you send us.
• Payment information: Stripe processes card payments. We do not store your full card number or security code. We receive payment details such as the amount, status, and limited card information such as the brand and last four digits.
• Messages: what you send us by enquiry form, email or WhatsApp, and our replies.
• Account details: your login details and order history, if you create an account.
• Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and information from cookies and server or security logs.

How we use your information

• to answer enquiries, and to manage bookings, payments, refunds, security deposits and your stay (necessary to perform our contract with you or take steps toward one)
• to send booking confirmations, payment reminders and other service messages (necessary to perform our contract)
• to keep accounting and tax records and meet other legal duties (legal obligation)
• to prevent fraud, secure the website, handle disputes, and improve our service (our legitimate interests)
• to send marketing messages, only where you have agreed or the law otherwise allows; you can opt out at any time (consent or legitimate interests)

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed with:

• Stripe, to process payments, refunds and disputes and to help prevent fraud
• website hosting, backup, email and other technical service providers
• villa staff and local providers who deliver services you ask us to arrange
• accountants, lawyers, insurers and other professional advisers
• courts, police, tax and other authorities where the law requires it or where needed to protect people or property
• a buyer or successor, if the business or villa is sold or restructured

Other services on this website

Some pages load content from other companies, including Google Fonts, Google Maps, YouTube and an external image host. Those companies can receive your IP address and browser information when the content loads, and YouTube and Google may set their own cookies. Links to Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Maps and Wikipedia take you to services with their own privacy policies.

If you book through another platform, such as Airbnb or VRBO, that platform’s privacy policy also applies.

Cookies

We use cookies that the website needs to run, such as those that keep your booking or cart, keep you signed in and protect the site. Stripe uses cookies during checkout to process payments and detect fraud. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but checkout and sign-in may stop working.

International transfers

Our business, villa and service providers may be in different countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

How long we keep it

Booking requests that end without any payment are normally anonymized about 30 days after they close. Records of bookings with payments or refunds, including orders and audit history, are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, refund, chargeback and legal purposes. Other information is kept only for as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Information may also remain in backups until they are overwritten or deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections during checkout. Card details are entered through Stripe’s secure payment fields and do not reach our servers. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is not intended for children, and bookings must be made by an adult. We collect the number of children in a booking party and any details a parent or guardian chooses to give us for their stay.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top.
