Climbing Mount Chistoffel
45 minutes to the top of the Caribbean.
1.70 mile hike up a rugged path to the summit.

Alarm set for 5:00.
Espresso and out the door by 5:15.
Pack water and energy bar.
Park gates open at 6:00. Be on time at the park to buy a ticket (youth and adult pricing)
Drive over to the west-park gate. (across the road)
Drive 4 mins to the parking area, turn off on the left.
Park and start down the path in the direct of the summit.
Walk a while.
Pretty easy going for the first half. No rush. Just follow the yellow signs.
Climb a while
Gets a little steep - again make sure you look for the yellow path.
Wow!
The summit is rugged but relatively flat. Lots of place to stake out a seat to watch the sunrise over the sea. Look out for Venezuela and, of course, Cliff Villa Peninsula is easy to see through the two lower hills.
Nature
On the way down, you will have more time to look at the incredible vegetation on the sides of the path.

Back to the villa for a deserved sleep at the pool.
