7 Days at the Villa

Day 1: The Sea!

Playa Kalki is a few minutes walk from the villa around the corner of the cliff. It has snow white sand and calm water. It also has a lovely restaurant, bar and ice cream stand.

Swim out to the floating dock and watch the world slowly drift by.

Rent professional grade inflatable boats and paddleboards from the villa. And explore the beautiful inlets around the villa.

Fisherman’s Catch!

Walk 15 minutes to Playa Piskadó to buy fish directly from the fishing boats. Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Blacktail Tuna, Yellowtail Tuna, Red Snapper, Queen Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Wahoo, Sailfish, Amberjack, Bluejack, Black Grouper, Lobster, Octopus, Lion Fish and many more.

Cook it up and make the best soup in the Caribbean … and the best Ceviche in Curacao. Make something fresh and yummy each night.

Turtle Swim

While down at the fish beach - please take a dip. The turtles have been trained by years of Pavlovian fish treats from the fishermen. Just swim and the magic begins.

Blue Grotto

Find a fisherman to take you down to the Blue Grotto. Under a natural lip in the coral is a hidden cave. Dive down and watch the fish in this beautiful blue wonderland.

Swim with dolphins in the open water. Order a catch of Lion Fish from a passing fishing boat.

The Reef

Where the two currents meet in front of the Cliff Villa Peninsula, is the best drift diving in the region! The Watamula (or whirlpool) brings up nutrients and with it fish. Book a scuba session minutes from the villa, a sea-doo ride or a day of relaxing with a fishing rod.

Watamula adventure - Curacao

Day 2: Walk North

From the villa, adventure along the northward path following marker rocks painted yellow along the coastline. Walk along the edge of the rock until you get to a small hidden beach called Playa Guepi to picnic and swim. It is a magical hike and well worth the effort. See drone video here

Over the hill find a large natural sea geyser carved into the coral. Watch the sea waves explode through the bottom of the rocks in large and small holes across the beach.

Up from the Watamula natural sea geyser is a moon landscape that visitors have made into a pebble balancing beach. Hundreds of rock piles line the sea line. Build one and make a wish.

On the way back, stop at the Noordpunt Lighthouse, also known as the Northern Point Lighthouse on the hilltop. Built in 1884 and was used to help guide ships around the northern tip of Curaçao. It was in operation for many years before being decommissioned in 1963. The lighthouse is open to visitors daily from 9am to 4pm. There is a small admission fee.
